JMailer is a personal mail tool run by Joey Lou. It is not a public service. This page describes how it handles Google user data for the Google account that authorizes it.

What the tool accesses

When an account authorizes JMailer, the tool requests Gmail access so it can:

  • read, label, and organize messages in that account
  • create and update labels and filters

The scopes are https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.modify and https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.settings.basic.

How data is used

Gmail data is used only to organize the authorizing account, including labels, filters, and similar mailbox cleanup. It is not used for advertising, not sold, and not transferred to anyone else. It is not used to train generalized models.

Where data is stored

JMailer runs on Joey Lou's own computer. OAuth tokens and mailbox data stay on that machine. This website is a static site and does not receive or store Gmail data. Requests to read or change mail go to Google's Gmail API.

Revoking access

Access lasts until the authorization is revoked or the tokens are deleted from that computer. You can revoke it at any time from Google Account permissions.
